03 · Limit check

How long until I hit my limit?

We only estimate where the vendor publishes a count. Everywhere else the answer is "not published".

For pay-as-you-go API use. Enter your provider's own per-token prices (we don't pre-fill them).

06 · Checklist

Cost control checklist

  • Set a hard spend cap or budget in the provider's billing settings before running agents.
  • Turn on billing alerts at a low threshold, below what you'd be upset to lose.
  • Give agents a max-steps or max-iterations limit and a wall-clock timeout.
  • Use a separate API key per project so you can revoke one fast.
  • Prefer cheaper models for loops and retries; save frontier models for hard steps.
  • Never leave an agent running unattended without a cap. Check usage dashboards the next morning.
  • On subscription plans, check whether overage ("extra usage", top-offs, paid credits) is on, and set its limit.

07 · What changed

Live What changed feed

  1. · OpenAI (ChatGPT Pro / Codex)

Before: One Pro plan in our table, price marked not verified

Now: Three Pro tiers: Pro 100 at $100/mo, Pro 200 at $200/mo, Pro 500 at $500/mo, monthly billing only. No usage numbers published.

What it changes: The picker now lists ChatGPT Pro tiers as options when they fit your budget, with a note that OpenAI does not publish usage amounts. They are not ranked by usage, because no numbers are published.

    Checked 2026-10-21 · Source

  2. · GitHub Copilot Free

Before: 2,000 completions and 50 chat requests per month

Now: GitHub's plans page and docs now list 2,000 completions per month and describe chat and agent usage only as 'Limited', paid from an allowance of GitHub AI Credits. No monthly chat request number is shown.

What it changes: No change to picks. Copilot Free was already the lowest usage tier; we now show its chat limit as not published instead of 50.

    Checked 2026-10-22 · Source

  3. · OpenAI (ChatGPT Go and Plus / Codex)

Before: Go and Plus prices marked not verified; Codex described as 'Limited' on Go and 'Expanded Codex usage' on Plus

Now: ChatGPT pricing, checked in the ChatGPT app in USD on Oct 22, 2026, shows Go at $8/mo and Plus at $20/mo. Plus lists 'Codex to automate coding'; the Go card does not mention Codex; Pro shows 'From $100 / month' in 3 usage tiers with 'More Work and Codex usage'. No Codex amounts are published.

What it changes: Plus at $20 can now show up as a priced option in the picker. Go still is not ranked for coding because Codex is not listed on its plan.
